AgroIA service acceptance agreement
Publisher: EDIA enterprises ("EDIA"). This agreement supplements the General Terms of Use and Sale (CGU/CGV) and the Privacy Policy, which you can read at any time in AgroIA → Terms and agreement and Privacy (GDPR). For customers established in France, the French version prevails.
1. What you sign up for
AgroIA is a farm decision-support platform: maps, weather, field notebook, alerts, markets and artificial intelligence. The free trial gives full access for the period shown in your account; afterwards the account moves to the plan you choose or to the Standard plan. A purchase of a plan is concluded with EDIA after accepting this agreement again.
2. Sophie and the AI features are artificial intelligence
Sophie, photo diagnosis, voice dictation and the other AI features are artificial intelligence systems, not people (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 on AI, Article 50). Their answers may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuited to your field or your country.
3. Everything is a recommendation: the decision and the responsibility are yours
- Everything AgroIA provides is information and indicative recommendation. It is not professional advice, a prescription, official plant-protection advice, or legal, tax or financial advice.
- You decide and you carry it out. The decision to apply, sow, treat, irrigate, sell or invest, and its execution, are the customer's sole responsibility.
- Before applying any product you must check that it is authorised in your country for that crop and use, and follow the label.
- To the extent permitted by law, EDIA is not liable for losses of crop, yield or income, or for fines or penalties resulting from decisions you make with AgroIA. This limitation does not apply where the law does not allow liability to be limited: wilful misconduct or gross negligence, death or personal injury, liability for defective products (Directive (EU) 2024/2853, which also covers software) and mandatory consumer rights. Otherwise, EDIA's total liability is limited to the amount paid by the customer in the previous twelve months.
4. Laws differ from country to country
- Some recommendations may not be legal in certain countries (plant-protection products, drones, water use, data, subsidies…).
- AgroIA limits or disables features depending on the country you state (for example drone flights, product recommendations or market comparisons). The list of available features may change when the law changes.
- You are responsible for complying with the laws of your country in configuring and using AgroIA and, where applicable, in its installation (local version): hardware, network, permits, licences, security and backups.
5. Your data
- Controller: EDIA. Your farm data is stored on EDIA's server (or on your own hardware in the local version). The AI runs on that server: your questions, photos and recordings are not sent to external AI providers.
- Technical support does not access your farm data. We only see what you send us in a request and, if an incident requires it, we access it only with your express authorisation for that incident, which is logged.
- Advertising and commercial strategies: with your consent, EDIA uses your contact details and profile (not your field data) to send you offers, news, promotions and discounts, and for its sales strategies.
- Business partners: with separate consent, EDIA may share your name, e-mail, area, crop and profile with selected partners so they can make you offers. The list is shown in Terms and agreement.
- Promotions and discounts: these are reserved for people who accept advertising. You can stop advertising at any time (in Terms and agreement or via the link in each e-mail). You will no longer receive promotions or discounts, but you can keep using AgroIA with your plan.
- Farmers' network: if you join, other members will see your name, profile, area and crop and can write to you. You can leave the network at any time.
- You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, and the right to complain to the supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL). Retention periods and legal bases: Privacy (GDPR).
6. Proper use
You must use AgroIA lawfully and keep your credentials safe. It is forbidden to use the AI for purposes prohibited by Article 5 of the AI Regulation, to publish illegal content in the farmers' network (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, Digital Services Act) or to upload third-party data without a legal basis.
7. Consumers
If you are a consumer, you keep all your statutory rights, including the 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases, and free access to a consumer mediator.
8. Changes, term and governing law
We will tell you about any change to this agreement and ask you to accept it again before continuing. You can close your account at any time and download your data first. French law applies, without prejudice to the mandatory rules of your country of residence if you are a consumer.
By clicking "I accept and continue" you confirm you have read this agreement and the CGU/CGV. EDIA keeps the date, the version and the options you tick as proof of your acceptance.
